Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

By far our best meal during four days in West Palm Beach! We ordered four different appetizers and four entrees, and were delighted with each and every one. We discovered Agora as we were driving to a nearby Thai restaurant, which was also good, but didn't match the imaginative and delicious food at Agora. Ate three of the specials (lamb with rice with vegetables - perfectly seasoned!; Anchovies and arugula salad - most delicious and unusual combination; and beef stew over puree of roasted eggplant - heavenly! Also ate a beef liver appetizer, which caused our neighbors to lean over and ask us what that delicious smell was! The baklava was delectable, as was the hazelnut ice cream. Our waitress (S.) could not have been more accommodating. She picked out the perfect wine to go with my lamb. A great night out!

My husband and I ate at Agora Mediterranean Kitchen when we stopped by WPB last week. I must say that it was one of the best Turkish food experiences for me. I tried most of the "mezes" (tapas), all were excellent. I strongly recommend the fava beans, the mackerel, and the "manti". Doner kebap was also amazing. Having been to many Turkish restaurants in NY, I was truly impressed with Agora, in terms of food quality, taste, authenticity, presentation, service, and ambiance. I'll definitely eat there again. Big thumbs up to the chef!!! Thank you...

Closed / Cerado (months ago) heard it thru the grape leaves that money was the reason ! Falafel sand was $9 plus. Now, you can go to Nick's Souvlaki around the block and get a Falafi along with some laffs, included

The market has reopened predominately as a Restaurant. It's bright clean and the menu is varied. If you sit outside the view across the park to the intracoastal is good, never mind the traffic on the street. Our waitress Nicole was chatty, knowledgeable and took great care of us. The calf liver appetizer was great, the falafel, calamari and hummus that came along as part of the meze were good too. Management need to repost because it's hardly a market now it's a good restaurant I will be going back to.

We came here for my mother in laws birthday. Every single thing we had was fantastic. We ordered 4 apps and everyone loved all of them. We were almost to full for the main dishes . The lamb dish I had was like god hand feeding me treats.

Had the red snapper cooked in parchment with all sorts of good stuff. Amazing flavor and very reasonable price. Wife had the chicken shish, also a winner. Delicious Baked rice pudding for dessert. Nice service too. Would highly recommend!

We loved the food at Agora. I had a whole branzino fish accompanied by a delicious salad. I'm not normally a salad lover, but this little side salad was really good, sprinkled with pomegranate seeds. My dinner companions shared a mixed grill, which they enjoyed very much. We started with hummus, which had a good garlic flavor. My one suggestion would be to give more bread with the hummus, or even better, some warm pita bread. We ended with dessert. We all agreed the baklava was one of the best we've had. And a generous serving of 4 pieces. The rice pudding was good. I always try to order something unusual, so the butternut squash dessert served on whipped cream and topped with candied orange peel and walnuts was my choice. It was very good. The restaurant is pretty, the staff was welcoming and the service was good. Our water glasses were constantly refilled without asking. We will definitely be back.

We were very surprised to come across this gem during our one week stay in the West Palm Beach. The restaurant owner Arif may be the The Thomas Keller of Turkish food and this is as close as it gets to authentic Turkish food without flying all the way to Istanbul. The meze menu is extensive and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and sophistication you see all around. The food was tasty, the service excellent and it was perfect for either lunch or a light dinner. We had the most unbelievable mixed grill platter we have ever had! We also ordered the Greek salad, falafel, grilled octopus, dolma, violet artichoke, imam bayildi and they were all amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this area.

Extremely impressed by the new renovations and awesome service. Our food came out quickly and was very reasonably priced. We ordered 3 hot mezes (hummus, falafel, and spinach delight) and the Aegean salad. We passed the dishes around between 3 people and it was the perfect amount of food. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. This place has definitely earned the reputation of best restaurant in West Palm (on Trip Advisor) and we will definitely be coming back!!

Great selection of food. All of it very authentic. Not many Mediterranean options near downtown, so this is nice. The restaurant is also decorated beautifully and has outdoor seating.

I came here for the first time on Saturday night, and after hearing so many rave review, my expectations were high. Agora did not disappoint!. The inside has a very cool and comfortable decor, the service was on point and very persoanble. The owner/chef even came to the table and made us a sampler appetizer of things he thought we might enjoy. Definitely try the falafel, it was delicious. So was the roasted eggplant with peppers and the fresh leeks meze. For my entree, I had the marinated Lamb Brochette with mixed greens. It was delicious and tender, and nicely marinated. On saturday nights they have live Turkish music and belly dancers buzzing around the restauramt. Its a fun night, and I definitely reccommned.

Came in based on the 4.5 star rating. Left very disappointed. The place was almost empty only one other table seated During the middle of lunch time. Upon ordering food the menu has a bunch of previously offered foods scratched off the menu with blue pen. After asking about the hummus and other dips, the manager had an attitude when I requested if it would be possible to be given two half portions of different dips instead of one serving of hummus. I was interested in tasting the different dips. Lunch offers a special that comes with a dip and main plate. I ordered the grilled chicken with spinach rice. When the plate arrived it was something completely different not until the plate arrived at the table was I told that there was no spinach rice left. Fine... Pretty early to run out of something when business is this slow. I also ordered a side order of crunchy fish. It seriously was difficult to stomach the first bite. Crunchy fish is supposed to be fresh tilapia fried. They looked like the fried fish filets out if a freezer bag purchased at the local grocery store. Tasted super old and fishy. When I politely told the server that it just didn't taste right, two minutes later the same manager comes to my table to ask me what's wrong the fish. I didn't want to tell him exactly how bad it was, but long story short the guy disregarded my thoughts told me there is nothing wrong with them and he claims he tasted them himself. Super unprofessional and I will not be going there again.

The food was SO GOOD. We are vegetarians so ordered many non-meat items. All of the food was excellent. The ambiance was lively and very welcoming. We ended our meal with their homemade baklava which was heavenly! The restaurant must be visited!!!!

Authentic, delicious Turkish cuisine in tastefully decorated surroundings. This place was previously a market but it just reopened as a restaurant, completely remodeled and reinvented. Fresh, wholesome food prepared before your eyes in an open kitchen. Good service and friendly owners. Added bonus: A small corner market remains within the restaurant with all kinds of exotic goodies from kaseri cheese to rose petal jam and orange blossom water!

What a gem! I'm am so glad I bought a Groupon to this delicious restaurant! I took 4 family members out and they absolutely loved it! The decor and ambiance was just very nice and DIFFERENT! I was sick of same old diners and bar grills this time around. I've never been a fan of lamb but man, my dish was so good! I got the chicken and lamb mixed platter and when I saw the waitress place a really cool covered platters and lifted the top I was so excited to just dig in! Prices are fair and I would definitely come back with my better half in the evening. The wait staff is extremely nice and attentive. Food did not take long either! Everything was on point, I hope they keep up the great work!

We had such a wonderful time, it was hard to make a choice for an entree since everything was tempting. I ordered the kale salad and it was quite tasty. My husband ordered the monti, he enjoyed it. Our friends ordered salads and the falafel plate and were very satisfied with their choices. For starters, we shared the large appetizer sampler plate. It could suffice as a meal! Dessert was heavenly, the waffle with ice cream was delicious, the butternut squash was so unique. Service was professional and most friendly. Decor is inviting and cozy. Will definitely return. Miss good Greek and Turkish food from queens so so this is my new go to place.

Agora is a pleasant surprise in a not so desirable spot on South Dixie Hgwy. Open old worldesque decor clean and neat. The house special lamb kabob was very well seasoned...A bit spicy compared with my experience of other kabobs but no complaints here! I had the Spanish cab which was a generous pour. World music made for a lively pleasant atmosphere. This is more Turkish slanted but all good! Fresh greens with fresh basalmic perfectly proportioned.. The side of hummus was heavy on tahini but creamy; a little olive on top but a little olive oil would have improved the presentation and flavor as a borrowed it from the tray of olives served as you sat down with a basket of warm pita. Service was attentive. No room for dessert although Turkish coffee and baklava would have been my choice. There is a cooler/ display as if you could order out. I recommend this place hands down!

FANTASTIC weekend place to get some live music that isn't too loud. We came for dinner around 8pm on Saturday night and there was a musician playing the piano, the saxophone, and singing. He was rather impressive. The restaurant has imported artwork and furniture that gives it a really unique, homey flare. There are maybe 20 tables and a bar area. The service was fantastic, the owner came over and brought me an extra chair so I didn't have to put my purse on the floor. You can tell the family is very proud of the establishment. The food- probably the very best eggplant I've ever had. As stated in previous reviews, the phyllo dough rolls are to DIE FOR! I kind of want to go back right now. They have an option of 5 min dishes you can order if you're not sure what you want- you can do this with the cold tapas or the hot tapas. I was with a girlfriend, so we got both. It was way too much food, but so worth it! We had baklava for dessert. They have a bit of a varied recipe (maybe it's Turkish instead of Greek?), but still very tasty. So maybe around 8:30 or 9 they play Turkish music and the most beautiful woman you'll ever see in your life comes out and starts belly dancing. She's a little intense, rather than the traditional mysterious belly dancers most people are used to. She makes direct eye contact with you while she's in front of you- it's a bit intimidating, so heads up to you who get embarrassed easily. We got the Groupon and I've been recommending this place to everyone I know. It's sold out now, but their prices really aren't unreasonable. We will definitely be back soon!

Really great experience. Everything from the apps to the main course to the service was spot on. They even gave us a complimentary dessert!

As soon as I walked in the door, my expectations turned from "I'll try a new place, hope it's good" to "loving the vibe and look of this place, the food better be great!" (If the five stars didn't give it away, the latter expectation won!) Its urban atmosphere is comprised of exposed wooden beams, contemporary art of Turkish dervishes and landscapes met with traditional Turkish rugs under the tables. We started with a typical Mediterranean appetizer of pita and assorted dips. These flavorful and delicious dips set the tone for what was to come. Deciding what to order next was impossible (everything looked great) so we ordered the Chef's choice. Who better to decide what to try, right? Doner, chicken, lamb....it was a mini meat feast! The mix of spices and the quality of the meat made for a savory meal. Our final course was the delectable buttery, flaky baklava. If I had a Turkish grandmother, I would like to think this is what she would make for me! I can not forget to mention that our service was excellent as well. Our waitress was attentive to our needs and the owners were warm and welcoming. Teşekkür ederim (thank you in Turkish) to Agora!

  • Rich P.

Extraordinary dining experience. Everyone in our party of 4 gave it 4.5 - 5.0 rating. Not too extensive of a menu but their items are well thought out and we're excellent. Although our server was new he was honest and forthright with answering our questions with help, if needed. The entire staff was laser focused to all our needs. Our meals were all exceptional and we thought we had seen the best and then there was the dessert. If for no other reason visit Agora for their desserts.

  • Monique R.

Wow, the food here is consistently fresh and yummy. I almost always get a falafel dish or the tabouleah salad and they are always wonderful. I have never had a problem with service, although I tend to be there at odd times when it is not very full. Brought my in-laws for dinner and they loved it. Having frequented Turkey and Greece often and am very familiar with good quality mediterrean food this is a very good place to go. One issue - the menu at times seems small to me with a lot of the same dishes, however, I believe better to perfect a couple of dishes then be so-so in them all.

  • Joe A.

Just had lunch here. Service is absolutely horrible. The food is average. We had to wait 45 mins to get our food. There is one cook in the kitchen and he is very slow. The manager is sitting outside and taking a smoke totally oblivious of the guests. A 2 star at best!

I re-visited this restaurant. They took the grocery section out. Best Mediterranean restaurant in WPB? Yes. Is there any competition on that segment? No. We actually go there with my three friends and I was close enough to exchange our meal. Meat quality was average. Cooking technique: cook on propane heated grill as shish kebob.Tomatoes on the salad was bad . We all know that you can find batter tomatoes in FL. Mezes was good this time. Bon P'our L'orient!

Wow this place was a delicious and delightful surprise! We visit Singer Island every so often since my in laws have a condo there and have driven by this place so many times. We'd always thought about trying it out but until last night some other option always took priority. My husband and I were driving back from MIA late in the evening and needed something along the way but closer to home base. I did a quick Yelp search for Greek food in West Palm and Agora came up with the highest reviews. I realized that it was the one we drive past all the time and so we stopped in at about 9:30pm on a Sat night. Firstly, the restaurant itself is a perfect ambiance. Upscale only to the point that you feel very comfortable but feel the quality will be high. There was live music in the back - one man band playing Paul Simon and other music of that genre. The decor is Turkish Mediterranean and one quick look at the menu and we realized the same goes for the food. This made us very happy to see as we recently took a trip to Turkey and fell head over heels for the cuisine. It's listed under Greek food in Yelp but it makes no difference since much of the foods are the same or similar but with different names. If you like Mediterranean food you will like Greek and Turkish alike. The service was good and the food came out in a timely fashion. Most importantly the food was phenomenal. We had the meze combo and Adana as lamb. Delicious. We may be going back tonight!

One word!! DELICIOUS!!! Went there on a Groupon and absolutely loved it! The food was fresh and flavorful and the prices are perfect! The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The owner came over to introduce himself and was very pleasant. We tried the sampler, with a few hot mezes and cold mezes: stuffed grape leaves, falafel, hummus, roasted eggplant(yuuuum),crispy Phyllo rolls and for dinner :the doner kebap and the greek salad. We will definitely be going back for a second round. On a side note, Northwood has changed a LOT, for the better, in the last decade. Check it out.

"We have been there about 5 times and it is always consistently excellent and very healthy. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable! Will be back again very soon!"

We picked up carry out from Agora because of having a sick kitty at home. After wanting to dine there for awhile, I'm glad we finally did order from there, even if it was carry-out. The food was absolutely delicious! The falafel was wonderful, as was the Agora salad. Everything tasted so fresh and they were still preparing it as we arrived. The staff was very friendly and the man preparing the food was very helpful and polite, asking if we needed extra sauces, and going the extra mile to make sure everything would be prepared the way we liked it. I can't wait to go back and dine there and try some of their wines with dinner. And to think we were going to just go grab take out from a chain restaurant much further away - so glad we didn't! Agora delivers too, which is great since we live in the neighborhood. I will certainly be back! Prices were reasonable, and they give you large portions. UPDATE: As of 4/3/14 I noticed this place is boarded up and No Trespassing signs on the front. Sorry to see it go.

Excellent food - good vegan options. Everything was fresh and tasty. Take out or eat in. Decor is interesting - in a good way. The market is a little strange-looking in the back of the restaurant - not much to it. But the food is highly recommended.

Was looking for something different for a quick bite this evening, found a Groupon and decided to give this place a try. It's in the Northwood Village and the place itself is quite lovely. I enjoyed the wood-beam ceilings and chandeliers, and the authentic background music. We were seated immediately and given seasoned olives and warm pitas to nibble on. My fiance and I both ordered different variations of lamb entrees, with pilaf-style rice and veggies. Both meals had great flavor, and good portion size. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and would recommend to others in the area.

  • Jessica H.

My fiancé and I had a great dinner here last night! Every bite we had was delicious. We went at 7 so only caught the beginning of the belly dancer (I think she is there on all weekends) and it was perfect because we had dessert and a show! I highly recommend the dip sampler, the gyro meat platter and the rice pudding!! So good we have still talked about it all day today!

I used to own a restaurant in Philadelphia and for the first time, I felt like I was in my own restaurant when I had a dinner at Agora. The octopus was delicious and tender exactly how you will be served in Ayvalik Fish Restaurants in Turkey. Adana Kebap that I ordered for my main course was also delicious. Hot appetizer Turkish Cigar Borek was crispy and delicious.

  • Kevin T.

Agora embodies the Aegean in a city that really lacks diversity. Semih and his welcoming staff really try to make you feel comfortable as they take you through a culinary adventure. The octopus is superb. The char on it is excellent and is on a bed of tabbouleh like ingredients to help freshen it up. The Bronzini was grilled to perfection and the light splash of lemon was all was needed for seasoning. Even their alcohol holds true to their Turkish identity as they serve raki, an ouzo like liquor, and Turkish wine. Support local businesses! Come give it a try and you will not regret it.

I just read an article in the Palm Beach Post that confirmed what I had to say about your restaurant! You can bet that I will be booking reservations at your restaurant then on my next trip to Palm Beach! palmbeachpost.com/news/l… I still remember how good that Red Lentil Soup was and that will be the first thing I ask for!

Pleasant surprise, thanks Yelpers!! Scrolling through WPB decided to stop in for lunch after reading so many positive reviews. I ordered the lamb on a flat for my entree and it was fantastic. The lamb was properly seasoned and cook to perfection. Overall, authentic, excellent mediterranean food! If you like or want to try Mediterranean cuisine, you should visit Agora.

We found this place on Trip Advisor, and it was wonderful! The food was delicious, atmosphere was intimate and inviting, and the staff was warm and friendly. We had calamari as an appetizer; it was crispy and served with a homemade marinara-type sauce. For our entrées, I had the grilled octopus and my husband ordered the lamb on flat. Both were delicious and authentic. For dessert, we had tiramisu that was sprinkled with crushed pistachios (yum!) and authentic Turkish coffee. The staff was friendly and the owner was very kind, he told us they have belly dancing on Saturdays, which I'm sure is fun to watch! Wish we were staying in West Palm longer so we could be here to see that!

  • Dyannah C.

I'm definitely a little obsessed with this place. Love the food and the vibe and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding as everything is made in house and fresh. What more could you ask for? As for authenticity, I'd say it's pretty spot on. Both the owner and chef are warm and personable and obviously take pride in what they do. If I lived closer, I would be here several times a week.

We went for Turkish coffee and wound up sampling a lot of things. The homemade baklava is our perfection. If you like a dry white wine try their Turkish wine.

So the wife and I have been here twice and both of those have not disappointed. This place is AWESOME!!! Our first visit was this past Valentine's Day, where we thought we would beat the crowds by going during the day. The restaurant is located in the Northwood section of WPB and as such is surrounded by art shops and other really cool local establishments. It's a little out of the way for us Western Palm Beach residents but DAMN WELL WORTH IT!!! We met chef Arpi (?) on our first visit and he was very welcoming and helpful with our selections. He paired said selections with a glass of Turkish red wine that was outstanding!! Take the trip (short or long) and find out for yourself the treasure that lies at Argo...

I'm mostly into Mediterranean food but can't easily find a restaurant with satisfying menu. Generally I end up with stereotype, expensive options serving a short list of mediocre tastes. Agora seemed to have its own style with a satisfactory selection of meal, wine and I liked the ease of parking, ambiance, service and food. I have been here a couple of times and I enjoyed them all.

I have eaten at Agora off & on for 3 years! This gives me a perspective on how consistent the quality of food has been maintained. Today I had the Chicken Beyti & it was delicious. Very balanced seasonings & just true gourmet dining! Finished with Turkish coffee & Baklava, served warm with pistachio garnishing. Great decor & service so please try this place!

Up in the area from Fort Lauderdale, and starving for Sunday lunch, we landed upon Agora. Always looking for the vegetarian spots and thought for sure one with the name Mediterranean Kitchen should fit the bill. No disappointment! I started with red lentil soup, followed by a unique-to-me-Meze called Fava, a chilled puree of fava beans and olive oil, which was quite tastey. The zucchini pancakes to follow were as well. It passed the baklava test quite well, with three of us sharing an order (4 pieces). The service was attentive and I loved the funky Mediterranean atmosphere at Agora, including some old Turkish rugs on the floor and interesting artsy decor. Don't miss the chandeliers. The place has character, and the food and service are good.

  • Ilya T.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST! I have dined here a number of times, and try to recommend it to friends all the time. Do yourself a favor and start off with signature sampler and zucchini pancakes. The meats are my highlight of Agora! Lamb on flat and bronzini are great for a main course. If you feel like trying a bunch of different stuff, order the mix grill platter. You MUST end your meal with a Turkish coffee (by far, best in Florida ). Interior is non pretentious and inviting, with mix-n-match furniture. What really gets me about Agora besides the food - is the staff! It's beautiful to see staff that are so proud of what they have and what they serve. As i have mentioned, i have dined there a number of time, and now i am greeted by name with a hand shake. Bravo!

My favorites were the octopus and mixed grilled plate. Great service and hospitality and the best rice puding that Ä°'ve ever tasted. Now, Ä°'m the biggest fan of Agora. When I back to wpb, Ä°'ll be there again. You should definitly go there and taste perfect Mediterranean foods.

Extraordinary cuisine! Authentic, delicious, and so reasonably priced. Loved the staff as well. And on top of all that, the fine art on the walls, ceiling and antiques throughout the establishment were worth the visit by themselves. Was so impressed. We had the red snapper, eggplant app, and sampled some of the kofta meatballs. Yum! What an amazing find. Am telling all my friends and will be returning soon!

The prior Agora is closed and it has been "upscaled" into a formal restaurant. The food is great. We had the calamari and phyllo rolls for appetizers. The calamari were light with a Turkish-peanut tartar sauce and the phyllo rolls were feta cheese and parsley. For entrees, we shared a lamb brochette and a doner kebap (sliced meat). Both were excellent. My brother preferred the lamb brochette and I, the doner kebap. No, we don't agree on everything. Of course, we had the wonderful baklava for dessert. My brother had the Turkish coffee which he said was great. I wasn't that adventuresome.

Every nice restaurant has a bad day. We visited Agora on one of their bad days. We were seated in a lovely table with a long distance view of the water (after all, the place is 2 blocks from the ICW), A waiter provided us with menus and near immediate water - a good first start. Our regular waiter came a few moments later - he must have just come from a cigarette break - and my throat closed up with the smoke he radiated. What to do - I surely could not ask for a different waiter and we were both hungry when we stopped to eat so walking out would not be practical - so I put up with the discomfort and drank lots of cold water to avoid more discomfort. Hint, if you work with the public (that is me), use some mouthwash after a smoke brake - it isn't perfect, but at least it hides part of the problem. Anyway, he went off and came back wearing a traditional clean waiter's apron so the problem resolved; but the damage was done. My partner and I split a lovely salad and lamb shank. Again, they were having a bad day. Our lamb was nearly refrigerator cold in places, apparently having been insufficiently warmed in a poor microwave. The lamb was wrapped with eggplant (excellent flavor) and lamb (ok to good) plus large slabs of lamb fat. I expected this fat to be trimmed in a 4 star or higher establishment. So, they lost a star for smoke in a non-smoking restaurant, a star for a cold to warm but not hot meal and an indifferent waiter who never returned to ask how the meal was prepared so I could politely send it back, and lost a final star for slabs of fat laced with the eggplant. On a more positive note, we have enjoyed previous meals there and will probably try one more time.

Agora Mediterranean Kitchen has really turned the corner from a good local hangout to a great restaurant. With their new chef and revised menu the food has caught up with the cool ambiance to make for an outstanding dining experience. We have been twice in recent weeks and have been blown away by the creativity they brought to Greek and Turkish dishes. The grilled octopus in a lavender marinade was truly amazing as was the grilled fish. Equally delicious was the traditional doner fresh from the spit and their great selection of appetizers. The service is great and you can sense the care they take in everything they do. Highly recommended!

I don't really order fish at a restaurant unless I know it's fresh. This place is located next to a fish market so I went for it. I had the red snapper in parchment. It was absolutely spectacular. The hummus was on point. Our waitress was attentive. The chicken shish was great as well. Can't wait to go back. Really really good.

We visited Agora again last night with the 'rents and WOW did they deliver. The sampler platter is Mediterranean art: an array of bean salad, phyllo rolls, pickle, and dolma surrounding a beautiful roasted baby eggplant stuffed with caramelized onions. From there, the eggplant-wrapped lamb shank was to die for. It was tender, surrounded with perfectly stewed potatoes and carrots in a light tomato sauce. The bronzini whole fish was equally amazing. Just when I thought the table was stuffed, we went all out and ordered dessert. The orange blossom brownie and baklava were tasty, but the winner hands down was the almond pudding. It was fluffy, cool, and refreshing for a hot south Florida night. I would have tried the Turkish coffee (which was served in beautiful little cups), but my dining companions scarfs their little brown beverages before I could make my move... Agora, you now live on the "Best(est) of Everything" list!

Despite the atmosphere and the music this restaurant has nothing to do with mediterranean food. I came from Michigan on a visit to WPB so I know what the mediterranean means. I can say confidentially the taste of the food is any thing but mediterranean. We ordered 1 hummus, 1 falafel and 1 kabab. I'm still shocked that they call this real food, and still shocked for the price that we've paid. If anyone wants to try the real food just let me know when you visit Michigan:)

Wow! This place totally rocks. I love Mediterranean food and this place hit the spot! The place is really gorgeous inside and service was very friendly and attentive. I loved everything we ordered. We started with 3 shared appetizers of hummus and labne. I am a sucker for homemade hummus, and this was no exception, it was creamy and smooth and very yummy, served with soft, hot pita triangles. The labne took it to another level though - a deliciously thick and tangy yogurt dip with walnut and dill - it was a large portion and we slathered our meat entrees with what was left of it after the pita was gone. The roasted whipped eggplant was perfectly seasoned and had a light, airy texture I'd never associate with eggplant, which is not my favorite veggie to begin with, but this dish converted me, at least for one night. The chicken brochette was tender and juicy. The Adana, ground lamb marinated with 17 herbs and spices, was to die for - so much flavor! The doner kebap was just as good, but more like a really high quality gyro, served with delicious hand cut fries and vegetables. If you enjoy Mediterranean food and are looking for some really authentic flavors, try Agora!

Great menu of Turkish cuisine. I tried the Donnan platter and loved it. Our waiter, Ricardo, was friendly and made our meal even better. Great environment and enjoyed the sidewalk setting.

Another cheap shot at me from the proprietor at Agora, blaming me for my lousy restaurant experience on Nov. 19th of this year, and lying through his teeth while he's at it. Now he is accusing me of discrimination because the Restaurant is owned by Immigrants. Ha Ha Ha ....I'm an immigrant as well so I guess we are in the same boat. That really is a good laugh so thank you for that. ! Just as an FYI , Yelp systematically deletes my responses but I see that the Restaurant is able to update their reply without Yelp removing so ... ... what's up with that ? Have you noticed that if someone reviews you poorly you scoff at them just like you are me ? Not a great way to build a business. This restaurant closed for many months this year..... might it have something to do with strained relationships ?

First, if you are looking for kebab, you need to order lamb platter, it's kinda like Urfa kebab (not hot, shish meatballs). Food is very delicious and service is quite fast. But the portions are small compared to other restaurants around. Maybe I liked the food so much that's why I'm complaining. You won't regret it, beautiful atmosphere, easily accessible and good service. For Turkish people: They have proper tea too. But taste is not very good.

We visited this restaurant in March. Food is so yummy. I recommend you try the mixed grill platter it is big enough to feed 2-3 people if you combine it with 2-3 appetizer dishes. All of the appetizers are delicious and healthy. My personal favorites were, artichoke and pink sultan. My husband likes calamari and he said they make it very good. I can't wait to go there again in August.

  • Nicolle M.

Excellent food - good vegan options. Everything was fresh and tasty. Take out or eat in. Decor is interesting - in a good way. The market is a little strange-looking in the back of the restaurant - not much to it. But the food is highly recommended.

Pleasant surprise, thanks Yelpers!! Scrolling through WPB decided to stop in for lunch after reading so many positive reviews. I ordered the lamb on a flat for my entree and it was fantastic.

We went at 7 so only caught the beginning of the belly dancer (I think she is there on all weekends) and it was perfect because we had dessert and a show! I highly recommend the dip sampler, the gyro meat platter and the rice pudding!! So good we have still talked about it all day today!

Simply amazing Mediterranean and Turkish food! If it's your first time here, I recommend getting the Just Aegean Dips and the Agora Signature Sampler. The owner is truly passionate about his food and takes great pride in his restaurant.
